While Jon always wanted to be a Canadian National Team athlete, he didn’t know which sport it would be in! Keeping his eyes wide open, living outside his comfort zone, trying new things and accepting the challenges that presented themselves enabled him to find his passion and his opportunity to realize his dreams. Jon’s story will inspire others to go after what they are looking for, no matter how daunting a task it may seem.
While we must be realistic about the things in life we cannot change, there are always ways in which we can optimize ourselves and our situations through creative thinking and innovation.Unless you’re moving forward, you’re getting left behind!
The story of how a small town boy from Manitoba, who grew up playing hockey and idolizing his home town hero, Theo Fleury (the smallest guy to ever play in the NHL) inspired him to become an Olympic Champion.
We had said that the measurement of a great speaker would be whether there were conversations around the pool and at the bar on your topic after the speech ….well, everyone is still talking about your key note address back home!
He was FANTASTIC. He exceeded expectations – he stayed for an hour after his keynote to hang out and chat, pose for photos, and show off the gold medal! His keynote was very well received – many references to things he said were made throughout the rest of the meeting (another day and a half!), and it resonated on a personal level with all in the room. It will be hard to top that one in future years!
Jon was awesome. Super engaging, high energy, and the perfect fit at the right time for our event. He even stayed around afterwards and took pictures with literally every delegate that wanted a photo (each while wearing his gold medal).
Jon was great and was one of the highlights of the conference. He had exceeded all our expectations
We all loved Jon Montgomery. We do not have all of the attendee feedback at this time, but I can say 100% of those that have rated Jon 5/5 with comments of how inspirational and relevant he was. Please be sure to share with him and thank him for his gracious time, taking pictures with all of our attendees and sharing his medal.
Our clients and executives could not have been happier with the TD Race and Jon Montgomery's involvement. Our participants had a ton of fun, and having face-time with Jon on the race route, as well as during his meet and greet were incredible highlights for them. His talk really resonated with the audience, too. It was a resounding success and we would not hesitate to work with Jon again.
Jon was energetic, relevant, relatable, funny, and motivating. I've actually never had a paid speaker have such consistent feedback before; well done Jon!
Jon was the star of the whole event. The attendees loved him. He captured the audience with his presentation and his personality. Jon was so nice to work with and was so easy going. Very impressive.
It was such a pleasure to have Jon Montgomery host our Guys ‘ Night Out event at Hudson’s Bay Vancouver. He was enthusiastic and genuine with all of our guests, and his charisma was felt throughout the room. He took the time to shake everyone’s hand, take pictures with fans, and even let guests give his gold medal a try. He was approachable, great to work with, and made sure everyone had a good time.
It was an honour to have Jon speak at the 25th Anniversary of the Southwest Agricultural Conference. Jon was inspirational, presenting with relatable anecdotes and humour, ending with an exhilarating conclusion as he shared footage of his Olympic win. THRILLING! After his presentation, with authentic enthusiasm Jon graciously spent time meeting and conversing with attendees, paying special attention to 4-H youth, and sharing his gold with anyone that wanted a picture. As a special treat, Jon auctioned off a “beer pitcher” with proceeds to support 4-H. Jon is definitely an excellent presenter, personable, down to earth, and Canadian to the core. Best wishes, and come back soon Jon!

Jon was more than we could have hoped for. Funny, engaging, inspiring, and so generous with his time. He is well aware that a few minutes of his time means so much to so many and he graciously accommodated everyone in our group. Nothing but over the top reviews.
